Jeremiah, I hope to hear some news about the tranny tomorrow. I'm thinking I want to just put a Turbo 350 in it and call it a day, not sure yet, we'll see.

If you do go to a 350 what are you going to do with your old tranny?

Burn it!!! biglaugh.gif

No, I'll get it rebuilt. It all depends on what they find. Hopefully something that didn't affect everything else.

Maybe we'll keep it as a RAISSE spare??!!

Rob if you do end up being interested in a 350 a guy I work with has 2 just sitting around. He'll only need one if he ever decides to put his 'vette back together.
With the amount of racing vs street you do that'd be looking tempting to me. As I understand it non-OD transmissions are a lot simpler than OD. But that's just what I've heard, could be a complete crock 2cents.gif

J, he has 2 350 turbo's forsale? Do you know how much? If it's cheap I might be interested.

Non-OD trannies are almost 1/2 the cost to rebuild and are much stronger. The turbo 400 is a bit of an overkill for anything under 500 hp. They use about 68 hp to power them, the 350's use somewhere around 36-38 hp. And the 350's are lighter. Sounds like a win-win.

I can get my hands on a race built 350 and torque converter for about $1000. I guess I can always pickup an OD unit in the future.

I don't think he's actively looking to sell them but you know how money talks. I'll ask about them Monday.
That sounds like a pretty good deal with the converter though. Would you have to get another drive shaft?

I have heard there is a spacer kit that allows for the stock driveshaft. And if not then I think I could get a good deal at FleetPride.

Hey Guys.

I just caught your new Rochester, NY forum biggrin.gif

Fantastic.

NJ BEASST Club.
Have their own closed forum off INEGMA for their paying members.
That could be why there is very little traffic on INEGMA?

Our Southern New York club.

bowdown.gif LISST

Has Monthly meetings at Hooters Resturants on Long Island to get their info to the members.
The club Officers will send out a distribution list to all paid members.

Glad to see you have your place.

Now we need to get Chuck Spera and the MISSL club over here.

Maybe all the TAISSO guys from Toronto pimp.gif
