As Clear Image Automotive always does, we will offer superior quality, material and workmanship.

This project has been on the back burner but since our TRI-Y headers have been copied and are now being offered in a stainless steel, we are making this a priority.

409 stainless steel is mostly carbon steel and will rust. It is inferior to aircraft quality 304 stainless.

Our TRI-Y headers will be made of 304 stainless, from the flange to the collector. Our Tig welds are made by the best welders in the entire North West as they specialize in stainless steel, aluminum and titanium.

We will continue to shine when it comes to
quality, finish work, welding and material.

Up-dates coming soon.

Dan,
Thanks for the heads up on our Impala ss forum.
About your stainless steel headers.

I have had zero problems with Stainless steel headers with Ceramic coating.

On my Lt1 B-body daily driver since 99.

No problem.

I assume you have the SLP shorty headers? i believe they were the only set ofered in 304 stainless?

Yeah, there shouldn't be any problem but like my partner/fabricator says, he believes it is over-kill to coat stainless.

Dan -- You knew the brand biggrin.gif --- SLP Shorties.
Correct on the stainless steel grade.

We all know the tubing of the SLP's where NOT of equal length.
(Equal length = Performance Gain)

Thanks for offering us,
Your headers in stainless steel.

Anybody remember Chrome Coated Steel Headers?
A buddy of mine had a Hot Rod Roadster.
His long tube Chrome headers always turned blue.

Kudos on the 304 stainless, I am a big fan of stainless steel parts for our vehicles- Like you say, ceramic may be overkill in terms of protecting the header, but what about underhood heat? I have heard that the ceramic coatings help to hold the heat in the exhaust, where it belongs, keeping gas velocity high, isntead of leaking into the engine compartment.

Dan, you should do some research.

The SLP Headers were 409 stainless.
The 304 Stainless while "looking" better will eventually crack.

Ask me how I know, I had the Borla exhaust which was 304 stainless and it
cracked at the stress points.

I hope you are going to stand behind these 304 pieces better than the coating on the long tubes and the tubular manifolds that had a problem with cracking.

I had tubular's that cracked, and as far as I am concerned, he stood behind them 110%
