Just a quick thread showing my new ride, nothing fancy.

1999 Chevrolet Tahoe with the Z56 Police package.ex-Michigan State Police.
134K miles. This truck is very solid for its age and were it came from.Underhood is clean and i can see NO leaks of any kind.Even the oil pan is clean, all hoses are clean and free of gunk/oil,which is pretty rare for a high milage police vehicle....Runs strong, quiet and smooth.Tranny shifts great and goes right into gear. The coolent looks damn near like bran new.

This Tahoe had many front end parts replaced recently which is a real nice plus, also everything works!

A few quick pix i took in my driveway just now.

Nice! If they were 4wd I would have bought one years ago. The cage would be great for my GSD, too.

^ They can be had in 4WD,they are just not "pursuit rated" like the 2WD ones.

Truck looks good! I love their size. I had a Suburban for about three minutes a couple years ago and loved the way it rode after I put on a decent set of shocks and tires. Can you get a Z56 4WD?

Not to my knolage.

Although im sure the 4WD Police Tahoe's came with just about everything the Z56 2WD ones got.I think the main difference is the 4WD ones sit 2" higher, have a steeper gear (3.73's),and are a tad heavier due to the 4WD components.
