Got the 2 1/2" cat back exhaust from Jeg's as an early Fathers day gift along with some Flow-Tech cut-outs!

The wrenching members of RAISSE helped enormously with the install and custom fabrication!

Started at 1:00 pm - pulled the garage door down at 8:00pm - yes 8pm !!! First two pipes were a bit long - Jeremiah had his trusty cut off saw and took care of that problem pronto! Then the install of the cut-outs begain ..

First let me say without Jeremiah's welding skills I would have put them back in the box and shipped'em back - J saved the day on Mad Dog's ride yet again (last time was a broken header stud extraction and a custom SLP bracket)
Measure, fit, measure, cut, measure, fit, measure, measure again (cause it is Mad Dogs - got to look good mon!), then cut, then tack weld then re-assemble make sure Mad Dog likey - yup, then take apart and then fully weld.

Repeat on driver side J & Rob did this all afternoon banghead.gif banghead.gif banghead.gif bonk.gif bonk.gif bonk.gif

But hey look at those pipes will ya:
Nice custom welds:

A wider view:

Nick and Dad getting in the way I mean work'n:

Glad to help. Don't forget we also fixed your gas tank strap and had some chow as well as generally screwing off. We weren't banging our heads, we're used to it tongue.gif
Now you need a new pic for your signature with the new tips.

Joel - I Love the sound! Nice Deep Rumble at idle - Great tight throaty growl at WOT! For 250/260 delivered it's a no brainer! The system is made by: Heart Throb Exhaust under private label for Jegs.

I had a stock system with the mufflers deleted and it was way to loud (annoying) at highway speeds, crackled when decelerating, and sounded very hill billy-ish but cost almost nothing.

The Jeg's sounds "classey" in fact at idle it sounds like I've upgraded the cam! I love the fact that I can carry on a conversation at higway speeds, and it's still gonna scare the critters when I step on it! -Dave

Enjoy Dave !!!
Thanks for the Photos and link to the manufacturer of your Catback system.

Lucky to have Jeremiah available to do some custom work, when you got into a pinch.

Aftermarket Cat-backs on an Lt1 B-body ---- NICE !!!!!!

yeah...I think the Jegs and the Edelbrock sound very similar...gives a nice big block tone to the car.

I get asked if I have a big block alot at car shows.

we need to get a local UNYISSO member with a lift and start doing some mod days again, because that makes jobs like this look a whole lot easier!!

all we need is a garage .....and a lift..... tongue.gif

Glad you like it Dave. I think it has a nice sound to it. As your hearing starts to come back from having no mufflers I'm sure it'll sound better still tongue.gif

Glad we were there to help. A job without the lift would have been a bear, especially with Dave trying to detail everything under that car everytime we turned around. Even Nitrous Nick started to get on his case about it.

On the lift, the guy's name is Bob Bond. I still can't find his number yet. You can get these lifts for as low as $500. He sells them new and used. Well worth the investment.

Dave, she does sound 500% better, imho!

Really haven't noticed - might be the stock cats, 13.99's don't look doable in this tub without opening at least the valve covers or 4.10's but I drive her too much and like to go with traffic on the expressways to have 4.10's in and maintain any reasonable MPG. The real benefit has been couple hundreths at the track and I can hear my passengers when we ride!
