He bought the whole car and it is in decent shape! A wagon, way too nice to pull the engine and tranny, so now he has switched focus.
Oh and I think we found the problem!!

I remember the ole Light Adriatic Blue Lt1 Wagon.
Years ago , New York State bought it brand new.
Then it was purchased by a dealer in Saugerties, NY off Rte 87.
Eventually made it to Craig's shop.
A good friend of mine bought it and drove it to CNY.
Now Robbie Has it
Robbie -- Enjoy the new ride
You need wagon parts? -- Go see Fred.
He has a parts yard with wagons.

I think those Corvette red brake calipers add at least 10 HP and 5 mph top end! Are you going to get the decals to put on them (not!)

lol owning a Bbody and being concerned about weight is like owning a hummer and asking about it's gas mileage... but you guys know my thoughts on that
So Robie, is this going to be a daily driver or race car?? or both?

It'd be fun to be the odd man out racing a wagon.
So this beast is going to be a daily driver and a race car

My two cents for that wagon - TransGo, and nitrous. Upgrade the ignition, slap some fun mufflers in there, and call it done.

you gonna glossy black those rims or paint them silver???
I say glossy black!!!!
Jonathan

May 20 2007, 07:37 PM
Actually,
Dave and I officially decided on painting
the inside spoke of the rim the same color
as the body. Then we'd leave the same
silver on the outer rim, with of course a little touch up haha.
-This way looking at the car from a far you wouldn't
be able to see the blue but when you go to look at it
closer you'll be able to see it. We thought it would look pretty neet!

And I think you just convinced me to pull the beltline trim off my wagon, too.

Well this girl is fighting me a tad, first the tail gate locking mechanism is not letting the gate swing open only drops. Then all the nuts on the front grill, lights, etc all siezed with this odd orange coating - not known to me it looks to be iron oxide - but I could be wrong

.
Then I found this:

Rob & Robbie - boy were you guys right to call off tonight! Around 8:30 it "seemed" like it had cooled down - so I fire up the compressor, and start prepping the hood for some filler and I almost went into heat stroke!! - I started sweating, it was dripping on the hood - I said sheeat man - turned off the lights and closed the door and jumped into the pool!

I PM'd Fred about the floorboards and the wheel well tonight so I'll let you know what he said. See ya tomorrow night?
