John Wutzer set this club account up (cash only, Charge Card, Debit Card ) a few years ago with area store manager Terry Ryan from the Genuine Parts Company owned stores of NAPA.

All these stores are located in the Capitol District of New York for UNYISSO members use.

We pay the local Sales Tax when buying parts which this club account will give you a 10% to 15% discount off of PARTS ONLY.

No oil ,chemicals, cleaners etc are included from the sales floor with this discount.

Here are the stores in the Tri-city area that will save you a few bucks with UNYISSO's Cash account #07856.

John Wutzer has no business interest in NAPA except to save money for himself and the UNYISSO membership when buying parts to keep my Chevrolets running in tip top shape.

These 5 stores are the only stores where the account is accepted.

Albany, NY - 1193 - Central Ave, Rte 5 - NAPA Store - 459-2511.

Troy, NY - 2810 - 5th Ave - NAPA store - 274-2121.

Waterford, NY - 27 Saratoga Ave - Rte 32 - NAPA Store - 237-7551

Rennselaer, NY - 300 Columbia Turnpike - NAPA store - 477-7621

Main Store located at NAPA warehouse which supplies 100 NAPA stores in the northeast. Wolf Road NAPA store - Latham NY - 783-6272.

Enjoy the savings on parts only ! biggrin.gif

Just an FYI John, but I went once to the Wolf Rd store, and once to the Central Ave store, and neither time, did I find anything on the receipt to indicate I got a discount. It looked like regular price to me.

I've been sticking with United, Dal, Chris for parts, and the local Advance for sprays and that kind of small stuff.

Rich it is only a small discount 10% on the dollar which we know would be $.10 cents you save on a part that would cost you $.90 cents instead of a buck.

I agree with you ,UNITED Auto Supply, Chris McCabe at Banks Chevrolet, Denooyer Chevrolet and Dal in Ohio would be my first choice over the NAPA account when I need parts.

Hey its better than nothing and now that you mentioned it,

I think I will pay Terry Ryan the Local Store manager a Visit to see if we could get the parts pricing programming discount increased to save money.

Thanks Rich for the comment,

We get spoiled with the other accounts deep discount programs that no other walk in customer gets except for a repair shop business.

Rich I just bumped into the Local Genuine Part Company manager Terry Ryan last night at the Baseball field with our sons.

Terry Ryan who is in charge of all the locally owned NAPA stores will look at our account to see if he can help us out with a higher percentage discount off our purchases.

I basically told him the guys where not using the account because of the deep discount we where getting at the local UNITED AC-Delco warehouse.

He was amazed at what I was able to set up with Steve Turczyn at this warehouse.

Terry mentioned to me all his garage customers would be pissed off at him if he gave UNYISSO the same deal that UNITED gives our club.

As we know the UNITED account is only for members that get their hands dirty and work on their own cars.

So Rich, Viktor and others thank you for the heads up about our NAPA account.

I will just have to wait and hear from Terry if the percentage off for parts has been increased.

I don't see why, the people who would be using it, aren't going to the 'garages' anyway so it isn't like they're losing business.

I just wish I could get that discount at the Napa in Catskill, but they are locally owned.

Rich once I hear back from Terry,

I will ask him if maybe the store owner of Catskill could talk to Terry or one of his employees to see if the account could be applied at your independently owned NAPA store in your neighborhood.

This was something I wanted to do years ago but when you rely on other people things never materialized.

It was not Terry's fault but the follow up with NAPA employees to make this happen.

Wow jump3.gif - I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I just had an appointment today with the #1 Honcho that runs all the Company owned NAPA stores in the Capitol Region of NY.

Was in the main office area to talk to Terry Ryan in his office about giving us a better discount on their parts.

I was asking for the same discount program that AC-DElCO UNITED auto parts gives us.

I want the same pricing that garages pay.

Terry will let me know what he can do when he sees me in the future.
We where only getting a few % off sad.gif the normal pricing which would be equal to what a TRIPLE AAA card holder discount would get.

Hopefully I will see Terry in the Neighborhood or at the Ballpark with our boys to see what better pricing program he can give the UNYISSO membership.

I stopped going to NAPA because the "discount" was only a few percent, not even making up for 8.5% sales tax. It just wasn't worth the few extra miles to drive to Wolf Rd. & then wait in line vs. the AutoZone by my house. If the discount gets better, they'll have my business again. I also just found a local connection at a Ford dealership, so now I can get a discount on all FoMoCo & GM parts and dealer-only items. WooHoo! cool.gif

Of course, if I'd just stop "fiddling" with cars, I bet I'd save more money than having all these connections & buying things left & right. rolleyes.gif

I know it took a long - long time. huh.gif
I'm told.
June 6th - Our UNYISSO club Discount % is suppose to have increased.

Yes Finally banana.gif
I was asking for a low volume repair shop discount on parts.

I was told.
We where accidentally by passed in 2004.

When Genuine Parts Company checked over all their customer accounts.
Which they do once a year on the Main computer.

I may use the account tommorrow to get the GodFather ready for LVD

Wutz had to use the account yesterday.

95 Lt1 B-body.
NAPA 38001 -- Pulley ---- Tensioner Drive Align Serpentine Belt Pulley,
Made in Canada for Gates Belt & Hose Company.
Supplied to NAPA Belts & Hose Line.

WOW ---- faintthud.gif
When the Sealed bearing goes in these tensioner Pulleys.

NOISEY

I have seen a few lock up and destroy the Serpentine Belt.
(Loose -- Power Steering - Alternator Charging - AC)

Good thing -- You do not loose the cooling system because of the gear drive waterpump.
